This will change depending on situations and general feelings but today favourite quote and one that I am using a lot atm in discussions/debates for intersectional feminism. The concerning growth of white feminism in which we (white women) ignore the plight and experience of our sisters of colour is frankly a disaster. Equality will not be achieved with the ignorance of oppression, we know this and yet continue to ignore what does not affect us.
It comes from Audre Lorde.
“I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own.”
